  1. Battlecrops' Zoo Survey

That's a nice survey, and pretty well done. Interesting to see that 26% of respondents (myself included, though I wasn't in the survey) had been diagnosed with depression. Wonder if there's a link....
  2. Animal Semen Faq

*grin* Starch particles? Just goes to show you: males will f*ck anything. ;-)
  3. Look what the dog dragged in..

A belated welcome, Ren! Long time no chat.
  4. Alphabet game

    Frog, absolutely NOT edible: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison_dart_frog
  5. 2017 Total Eclipse across the USA

Damn, that moon photo is pretty impressive! :-)
  6. 2017 Total Eclipse across the USA

Oh, that poor 600mm lens! Makes me cringe just looking at it. At least they were able to fix it in house so it wasn't completely ruined. I didn't have a solar filter for my digital point-and-shoot, so I just taped a spare pair of eclipse glasses over the lens opening. No damage done, but the photos didn't turn out very well: the auto-focus couldn't focus on the sun, or the moon last night, which was orangey-red due to forest-fire smoke particles in the night sky. I need a better camera.
  7. Welcome back

I don't know yet how much else is missing, but I did I notice that all the replies and comments on my story and poem uploads have disappeared, though the view counts are still there. :-/ At least the replies to Ramseys' stories survived the migration.
  8. Word Association

  9. *grin* Yes, and I also remember him telling me that he spent a week or so in very serious condition (at least part of which was in the hospital, IIRC) as a result of Frenching a doe. That was probably before the Listerine policy, though. It's good that he told us these things, but also a shame, because I *really* want to French kiss a deer some day, and his horror story really puts a damper on my enthusiasm. Maybe I'll try it after I've done everything else with my life and am willing to risk a week in the hospital for a white-tailed tongue wrestling match. ;-)
  10. What type of hobbies do you have?

Thanks for the info, EG, I'll check out those forums before I make my decision. I hate it when there isn't one clear choice: no matter what I decide, I'm always worried I could have chosen better. :-)
  11. Banner Contest

The shrunken version lost some quality; I may need to play with the settings. In the meantime, here's the full size version:
  12. Banner Contest

Okay, here's my submission. Let me know what you guys think.
  13. I've never French-kissed a human, but I have French-kissed many dogs over the years. For the most part it's been pretty safe, provided you can be assured they haven't spent the previous twenty minutes licking their own ass, but I have also had a few cases of strep throat or similar infections that I can trace back to having frenched a dog two or three days earlier, so your mileage may vary.
  14. Movies with a hint of zoo

A very interesting movie, to say the least...based on a short story by Honoré de Balzac. However, I recommend stopping the film when Augustin ties Simoom to a pole: things darken shortly thereafter. :'(
  15. What type of hobbies do you have?

Thanks for the advice & recommendations. I've been leaning towards a reflector or compound scope for portability: any suggestions on good starter scopes of those types?
